I'm with Vandana on the Junco. Hard to get anytime, very nice capture!

Hi Vandana & thanks. It took several shots to get the exposure just right on these ones :-) I might have made him abit lighter than he actually is but I really wanted his eye to show up. I already had my 105 vr + the 1.7 TC on so they were all taken with it. I'd thought about switching to the 70-200 vr but the bird feeder is actually fairly close to my window and I was afraid of missing some shots due to the decreased focus length (have to be at least 6 feet away).

you have done so well with the exposure here ! Juncos can be tough and in snow :) ! is this with a 70-200/300 ?
