Dreary Days Of March Collage
Late getting here again but here I am. I made this collage today (March 6th) to show that March did indeed come in like a lion so I fully expect it to go out like a lamb :) We were up most of the night due to the weather alarms continuous blast warning us of tornadoes. Thank God none hit here (several did north of us). The background and power failure photo were taken on March 1st. Yes, we lost power from about 9am to 4pm that afternoon which is why I included the 'On battery' photo. That's part of my battery backup tower for the computer that kicks in when the electricity goes off. This little gem is so worth the cost and has saved numerous jobs over and over. I usually have about 20 minutes to save whatever I'm working on and hurry up and shut er down. The upper right hand photo was taken the day before just after I dropped the kids off for school. Thankfully the weather is starting to warm up a tad now. I can hardly wait for spring but know it's coming just around the bend :o) Have a great day everyone.

on March 8, 2007Thank you everyone. You'll are such a wonderful and supportive group. I feel like I'm really getting to know some of you. :-D
I live in the country just 4 miles outside of Perry, Missouri. That's a little bitty town about a hop and short flight from no where land... I hear ya gotta go to no where before you can get here - lol! 668 people is the population but I'm certain they counted cats and dogs. We're south of Hannibal near Mark Twain Lake.

- The upper right rain swept highway & it's seperate collage are the 2nd, 3rd & 4th pics in this gallery: http://id.smugmug.com/gallery/2535752#134266951
The rain swept one is the same photo layered 3 times. I applied some diffuse glow to the lowest one. By itself that one looks so lonely... and depressing. But thrown in a March collage it survives quite well :)
- The very bottom field landscape is a view from my backdoor. It's the first photo here: http://id.smugmug.com/gallery/486507#134217558

Okay, I'm off to post today's PAD then catch up with your daily vision as well. Has anyone told you'll that your addictive as all get out. Well, you are. Even though it takes me forever to long, I love looking at your wonders so much I spend hours+ on here. I'm finding that it's much simpler to wait till after the family is tucked in so I'll likely be posting late or very early from now on... we'll see. Have a wonderful day tommarow and Happy Shooting :-D

on March 7, 2007Very cool indeed. I would like all them separately too -- just the collage of the 3 highway shots would be excellent.

on March 7, 2007I like that, I was terrified by those storms!!! We only got the end in the SC low country. But the build up on our weather was terrible. And watching CNN was scary/shocking/horrifying. And it all happened so fast, I had no idea where they were as everything was close up. I thought they were in OHio, found out it was Alabama? The battery thing sounds cool! ginger (where are you?)
