I'm currently using a dial-up internet so it takes an eternity it seems to upload images which is why I'm behind on adding Daily pics and I simply can't upload anymore tonight. Yes, I live in rural boonies but with the exception of technology being so dreadfully slow I absolutely love our location. :-) I used to have high speed wireless but because it only worked part of the time (if that) and practically every time I'd try to upload a photo the connection would fail (stall out) before the upload would complete I was so frustrated I couldn't take it anymore. Uuuuuggghhhh - frustrating is saying it very mildly!!! They tried several times to fix the connection and we even put up a 45' pole to mount the antennae on but all that did was make it worse. Finally after waiting for several months (again) I decided the tremendous frustration that stupid little worthless wireless was causing me simply wasn't worth 2 cents and told them to come pick it up. Although I can only upload about 30 pictures per day that's easily less frustrating and way more than I was getting with the current high speed connection unless of course I babysat the upload continuously in order to constantly re-start the upload and connection the entire time. At least with dial-up the upload succeeds every single time and I'm connected every time I sit down and hit the button :-) Maybe someday our area will get more competition and satisfactory high-speed service.

on December 18, 2006It was well worth the wait to see this. Very nice collage! The young lady must be thrilled! You're not alone on the dial up thing..my sister in law in Michigan went from high speed cable to dial up when she moved two months ago...she's ready to pull her hair out! Can you nudge..no annoy, the cable company near you to extend the service? Sometimes they need to know that others in the area are wanting the service. And We'd love to see more of your work...and lower your frustration level... :-)
