"Wasp Alert"
PAD - August 30th, 2006
Captured with my new 105 vr a couple months ago but due to the move I'm still catching up on processing. I'm still fairly new to the macro world for the most part so let me know what ya think. Comments, suggestions for improvement? Thanks so much!

on September 2, 2006you know, I think now the facing other way would be the more traditional sortof pose, this one is more interesting ! and we don't mind more bugs at all :)!!I got a new 60mm micro Nikkor just last month or so, so very buggy here :)!

on September 2, 2006Thank you all for the complements, suggestions and the nice welcome to daily photos. I didn't understand your wishing he was facing the other way at first. Hmmmm... I kinda liked that he looked about to fly off the frame in this one as one of my first thoughts was that it looked so real like that. Now I'll be pondering this for awhile trying to figure out how to get both (in frame but real :)
Got another bug for today's image (see prev photo in gallery)... hope you'll don't mind but I thought he was soooo cute (even though they really do stink) :-)

on August 31, 2006Welcome to daily photos community ! Andrea is right, we're getting big on bugs here; I don't want she means by the risque edge tho :))! this is a great shot, somehow I wish he was facing the other side ! it feels like he's just going to fly off the frame any minute ! like the OOF green and the colors. with macros, I'm using flash more often and using a higher f stop - might get some more details on those wings there. just nitpicking, it's great as is..

on August 31, 2006I think this is amazing detail. Great shot. The community has been big on bugs lately, although there is a bit of a risque edge to it. I'm sure you'll get lots of expert advice. From a non-macro user, this looks fantastic to me.
